Go here: Google Maps Type in Greenville, SC. Press search and switch to Street View.
OK.......this is strange timing.....I was doing that all afternoon and then I just went on city data before heading to bed and you wrote it on a thread!!
I found it on an mls listing and have been "travelling" around Greenville today! haha
VERY COOL!!!
Is this something new? I thought maybe I had just missed it all this time!
Actually, it's been on live search for quite some time. Live Maps They call it bird's eye view.
It seems a bit different though...with Google's street view you're viewing things from the street. A car with a camera on it actually drives down the street photographing 360 degrees, I believe.
I do not understand what is special about this "street view" system. The only thing I see is a map of the labeled streets with a blue outline and when I click "satellite," the imagery appears behind. If someone would explain what is unique about it, I would greatly appreciate knowing. Additionally, I wonder why so many of the photos on the map are way out of place.
Edit: I figured it out. Strange, but nice... in a way.
