Electric Vehicle Manufacturers May Come To Upstate - Greenville News Story - WYFF Greenville (http://www.wyff4.com/news/21441974/detail.html - broken link) This would be awesome if these were all to happen. We have a very good chance of landing Proterra from what I hear. If we do land Proterra, they'll build a manufacturing plant at ICAR that will hire 500 workers.
I just consulted the Magic 8 Ball, and it said "Greenville, for sure."
That would be SOOOOO cool. A real feather in the area's cap. I mean, not only would it be lots of jobs, yet another corp HQ & add to the area's "automotive cluster", but it's in the "green/alternative energy" category. Shows that the area can be very leading-edge. Why is Southwest Airlines waiting so long - they know they'll be at GSP eventually! ;-)
I don't think that was related. Kemet has been in this area for years, and was just announcing an increase in business/employment for the first time in quite a while.
