Is there a good place to watch fireworks from a hill or mountain; a place to look down on the fireworks in the Greenville, Spartanburg area or a nearby area?

Altamont Road on Paris Mountain has really good views from where the cell/tv/radio towers are located: The View of Greenville from Paris on Flickr - Photo Sharing! (http://www.flickr.com/photos/restedtraveler/112681316/ - broken link)

Well we went to Spartanburg last night. It was just ok was the first time I have went. Had too pay 5 bucks to get in I should had just stood on the street was not really worth the 5 bucks. The firework show was pretty blah.. And not that great it was prob about 10-15 mins long. Going too Gville tonight have not been yet so hopefully that one will be better.

Greenville was more crowded this year than in previous years. Good thing for us the fire truck needed to get out of county square and we were in the way. Were you behind us? Have never been in stop and go traffic on Church Street to Augusta on the way out but there is a first time for everything I guess. Still can't compare to Chicago's lakefront fireworks exit.
