Hello.
My boyfriend & I are looking to move to the area. We have 2 horses & a goat & we need land for them. Any suggestions on towns? Or does anyone know what the restrictions to owning horses are on properties? Any informations & help would be appreciated!
- Marie
There are quite a few small towns that allow horses and goats. You can check out Liberty, Easley, Dacusville, Pickens & Travelers Rest. Most of these towns have mixed use parts. Some with restricted subdivisions and some that allow animals. Can you provide more info on what you need as far as housing, driving distance to work etc. You will probably get more responses.
Well my boyfriend has a job in Greenville lined up, so not too far, within 30 minutes would be good. We're pretty much moving there for convenience, compared to where we live now - WV.
& we're looking to buy a house.

Based on all of your information, I would agree with pgriss and strongly recommend the Dacusville, Easley, and Powdersville-Wren areas. These are all within 15-30 minutes of downtown Greenville and have plenty of homesites you would love. You might also want to check out areas south of Greenville, including Piedmont, Pelzer, and Williamston. A little further out (still a reasonable commute), Liberty and Pickens would be great choices.
Let me know what part of Greenville and I will narrow it down for you a little more. I live in Easley and worked on Mauldin Rd. for 13 yrs. It took me apoprx. 20-25 min to get there.
