Quality Home Inpsector Needed
I'm closing on a townhome soon in Simpsonville and am in need of a good home inspector. It's new construction, but I've been told that an inspection from a third party is not a bad idea. Any suggestions?

Try Tommye Donovan with RIC Home Inspections at 235-5505, or Mark Reusch with A Major Home Inspection at 313-1183. They are both really good inspectors. Tell them that Sheri gave you their number!

Sheri gave good advice, these are 2 of my favorites. Ask for the realtor referral discount with Mark if you decide on him. Tell him Pat Grissinger or Sheri Sanders referred you to get it. Any savings is good this day and time!!

Daniel Whitten, Buyers Inspection Group. Not cheap, but very good.

I priced Home Inspectors recently and Buyer's Inspection is the most expensive one I called. I chose to go with Investment Inspections. 864-505-3978. Chuck Baldwin did a very thorough job on my inspection and it was affordable. The seller ended up fixing some things that they originally wouldn't have but Chuck's report seemed to change their minds. I was very happy about that.

I would second RIC Inspections/ Tommy Donovan
Hi
My vote for a quality inspector is through RIC as someone else mentioned. When we did our inspection we were in PA and had someone appointed to go with Mr Donovan to the house as our "voice". He was recommended by realtor so we had to go with that recommendation since we knew of no one else in Greenville.
He did a great job, helped point out things even missed in brochures on the house(like an expensive inground sprinkler system not mentioned in sales info) and gave us a detailed listed of things to discuss with seller.
Did a great job and was very communicative to us. Would highly recommend RIC Home Inspections and Tommy Donovan

Can anyone tell me what an average home inspection costs?

Mine was $360 but it really depends on the house. Ours was a bit more because it is a very large home and it is over 25 years old. Each inspector is different. Our inspector was very good, extremely thorough. We have a binder full of every detail with color photos of everything. Did you ask your realtor for recommendations?
