Something fun for 18 year old and Mom?
I'm looking for fun, relatively cheap things to do with my mom after work. We both work until 5. I had planned for us to take a Thursday evening class at the Beaded Frog on Thursday, but they're all full.
Any similar ideas? Classes or evening events in Greenville?
Thanks!

Don't know since I have not moved over there yet but I think it is cool you want to do something with your mom!
My daughters were in their 20s before we "reconnected" [but we did]

You're a sweetie!
Just take her somewhere for dinner - even a hamburger - and sit and talk! She'll love the attention...and so will you!

aw you are nice. try a pottery class. you can paint pottery. it's so much fun. i've never been to this place, but here's a place in g'ville: Color Clay Cafe - A Paint Your Own Pottery Studio in Greenville, SC. it might be something you can do over the course of a few days or whatever you'd like and generally, it's pretty inexpensive. i painted a plate for my neice for her 1st birthday (in charleston) and it was just $18 and i could paint as much as i wanted.
have fun w/ your mom!!

First of all let your mom know that we all here think she did a great job of raising you. For an 18 year old girl to actually go out of her way to spend time with her mom speaks volumes about the character of both of these girls. God has blessed both of you.
I'm only 36, but I was such a snot nosed punk to my parents when I was 18. Praise God for grace and forgiveness though as we're all pretty good now. I pray that my little baby girl will want to be with her mom when she is 18.
As to your question, there's an Arthur Murray on Butler Rd. maybe Salsa lessons would be fun. It would be great exercise and really neat to learn. Let us know what you guys, ..er, gals choose. Sonrise

my fiance' does 90 degree yoga off pelham rd. almost every day(around 6-6:30 I think) and loves it, they have lots of payment options (the first week is only like 20 bucks per person, and you can go as many times as you like in that period)and its apparently very relaxing, just a thought

Thanks guys! We're definitely going to go paint at Color Clay Cafe this week, but let me know if you have any other ideas.
My dad and I love to hike and go bike riding but my mom's neck hurts a lot so she doesn't often come along.
