Yes, downtown is already great in almost all aspects but it could always be better. The master plan for downtown Greenville that was unveiled earlier today calls for five corners or distinctive satellite areas surrounding Main Street to be redeveloped and have distinctive identities. I imagine it will be posted on the city's website sometime within the next few days.
More money for downtown, but not even one bus to Travelers Rest
I'm really glad that Greenville is getting more and more beautiful - but at what cost. In the northern part of the county, we can no longer visit downtown Greenville because of the high price of gas. Not even one bus services any areas north of Cherrydale Shopping Center. Because of the, our dollars are lost to the city.
Plus, they need to fix the bus system right here in the city before they worry about branching out.
