We were in Greenviloe in June looking the area over as we are considering a move there. All we need is a house because I found an excellent hairdresser, a referral from a ReMax realtor. The shop is located near the Poinsett Westin downtown Greenville. It is the Christopher Ashley Salon, the hairdresser is Manda Tingle. She gave me one of the best cuts I have had in a long time. Highly recommend her! Phone 242-0777.

Thanks again everyone. I tried another AVEDA salon - Ivy (located downtown). Wisteria was just too far from where I live. IVY was great and the stylist, Kayla, did a wonderful job. A woman's cut cost $45. Again, thank you.

FYI, there's another branch of the Ivy Aveda salon on Batesville Road out in the Thornblade area.

I'm taking notes on all these recommendations and the ones I found on the old thread on the same topic and will check out the various salons and stylists when I get back to Greenville. I so appreciate all the valuable info this board provides. Thanks, everyone!

Any Kerastase salons in Greenville?

I'm also looking for a hair salon...I just bought a house in Greenville, SC (moved from Southern CA, but grew up in GA). Ideally, I would prefer a departmentalized salon (separate specialists as stylists and colorists), and I am really picky with color (much harder to correct if it's botched). I generally move around in the blonde family, but I like to switch it up from time to time. I would love to find a salon that carries the Kerastase line.

I like Focus On Hair on Pleasantburg Dr. The owner is a former stylist at Wisteria I used to go to and the quality there is just as high as Wisteria with more reasonable prices. They also have frequent events like Wine & Cheese nights, etc. Good luck with your search!

Amanda Veal at Envious Styles at 620 Howell Rd. is really good and reasonable. She owns the salon which is at intersection of E. North ST. and Haywood Rd. across the street from the former Vaughn's at E. North.

Default local gal in greer

just went to get hair cut, style done at rapunzels in greer, very good job, she paid attention to texture of hair, listened to my daughter tell her she had a delicate scalp and really didn't want to spend alot of time on her hair, the results were amazing, i mean i was actually speechless, total cost 30.00 for hair, 7 for brow shaping, wow, certainly my $$$$ worth here folks, she was also very polite and timely, hope that helps, her location is 100 victoria steet, greer, at 968-0060.
