Default Home Rentals

My family is moving to the South Carolina from North Dakota in 3 weeks - we have decided to move to Greer and we would like to live in the Riverside school district - anyone know of a home for rent for a year?

Check Craigslist on a regular basis. Lots of options there. Also check out Greenvilleonline for the classifieds.

What is your price range? I am moving in a few weeks also and found some sites but your price range will depend on which one will work for you

Thanks for the info. I have looked at rental websites and newspaper ads so long I am cross-eyed. My husband will be working in the Spartanburg area and I have family in Anderson - we really like the Greenville area but don't want a long cummute so looking between Greenville and Spartanburg. We were kind of going off of school ratings - the best High Schools seem to be Riverside in Greer, Eastside in Taylors, and Mauldin High in Mauldin. We are looking for a 3 or 4 bedroom, 2 bath preferrably with a fenced yard as we have a St. Bernard dog. Our range is up to $1300 a month. We will buy a house after a year when we are more familiar with the area.

For Greenville your price range maybe just a little short for what you want. Look at goupstate.com it is the Spartanburg paper and you may be able to meet your budget there easier than you will in Greenville. I'd suggest Pickens but if you want a short commute to Spartanburg that is not going to work.

FWIW, a 3 bedroom home in Mauldin in my neighborhood was renting for $1200 and it is a small house. Spartanburg's property tax is lower and therefore rent should be lower too.

I was runningfromwinter too when I left Chicago! I can understand!

Check rentals.com, nationalrealestateservices.com and cdjpropertymanagemnet.com. They all have houses in your price range.

Default Spartanburg Area

There are a lot of rental properties on the West side of Spartanburg, and you could probably get an executive style house for that price range. You would be convenient to I-85 so you could travel easily to Greenville, Spartanburg downtown & Anderson. I have lived in Spartanburg my whole life in the Moore/Spartanburg area and know that the schools here are award winning schools. Dorman High School in district 6 is massive & the teachers & academics are phenomenal there. District 5 is just a short drive located in Duncan, and has Byrnes High School. I would recommend contacting Todd Sill. He is a builder who rents MANY of his homes. I don't have a phone # for him, but his email is Sillhomes@aol.com. Hope this helps and welcome to the area.
