My wife and I are recent graduates from the University of Florida and we noticed that there was not a Gator Club here in Greenville. Are there any other Gators out there that get together to watch the games during football season? I would love to find a great bar to be able to cheer on the Gators with some other alumni.
There are lots of Florida Gators fans (and lots of Florida transplants) in the Greenville area, but since I am not one, it is difficult to say where they gather for the games. I will try to locate more information for you. In the meantime, why not begin by checking out the city's sports pubs?
I would recommend checking out Bailey's on Laurens Road. I know they show most of the college and NFL games. Don't know if there's a group of Gator fans there, but I'm sure you won't be the only one in the building.
What part of town are you in? My husband and I recently built a sports bar in our basement. While we're not Gator fans, GO BIG 10!!, several of our neighbors are Gator (and SEC) fans and have mentioned they'll be frequenting our bar.
We're in Greer/Taylors in the new Blue Ridge Plantation subdivision and will have people over every weekend, Saturday and Sunday, during football season.
I am a Gator alum and new to the Spartanburg area and was wondering the same thing. It seems like there are a lot of Gator fans around - I can't believe there is not a club here! Interested in starting one?
