I felt this would be a pretty good topic. What do we offer in this area that helps seperate us from other midsized cities? You know the term used "small town charm, big city amenities"? So what do we have thats different?

At the top I would place Greenville's location near the Blue Ridge Mountains and proximity to two of the most prominent Southeastern cities along the busiest portion of interstate highway in the region. Next I would add the impressive amount of international investment in the metro by companies from every corner of the globe, combined with a strong presence of diverse high profile U.S. businesses. Rounding out the top three reasons is Greenville's numerous decades worth of visionary and active leadership, which has driven positive change despite early opposition by outspoken citizens.

To sum up the Top 3:
  1. Location, Location, Location
  2. Business Climate
  3. Visionary Leadership

But what do we have to offer that makes us have "big city amenities with small town charm"? That would mean we offer something that other cities of similar size don't.

Cheesecake Factory, IMAX, Trader Joes, Apple, REI, Z Gallerie, etc. Big city amenities in a mid-size city.

You asked, "what does Greenville have over the other average mid-sized city," but then you limited it to the quote, "big city amenities with small town charm." That quote is often used in many other mid-sized cities and is no less true for many of them than it is for Greenville. I do not see how that quote is unique to Greenville at all.

Regardless, two of my top three reasons definitely play a role in that quote, because large corporate investment and visionary leadership are certainly amenities most big cities would claim to have.

That is pretty unique for a mid-sized city.
