Default T-Mobile Cell Phone Service

Does anyone in that area have T-Mobile cell phone service? Can you get a local T-Mobile number in that area? I know that a few months ago, you couldn't get a local number in the Greenville area. I believe T-Mobile bought Suncom, so I'm hoping that T-Mobile will be expanding local service into that area.

I have T Mobile cell service as I just moved here from Florida with it. It automatically switched me to Suncom (as my cell phone says suncom on it instead of TMobile)
You are correct about TMobile buying Suncom as we had to get a wireless card for our computer to get internet service in our new home development and they told us at Suncom that TMobile bought them out and you will see more of the name tmobile in September or later. I am waiting to get their new home phone service and eliminate my verizon home service since it will be cheaper to go with TMOBILE home service. Unfortunately right now we are considered out in no man's land and have no choices for cable/internet/home phone.
HTH and if you have any other questions feel free to ask me.

Debi, when did Tmobile say that they might be offering the home phone service?

Thanks Debi, sounds like they will eventually have service down there. I want to keep their service and the home phone thing sounds great. I won't be moving down there until later this fall at the earliest, so maybe they will have something by then.

I've got Suncom and supposedly they've been bought by T-Mobile. I was told my plan would be grandfathered into the T-mobile service but I'd have to move to a T-mobile plan when mine expired. It was supposed be T-mobile in April, but I don't know what happened.
