Hi,
I've worked in Denver for short-term projects and, even though I am from here (Greenwood), I would suggest Greenville over Denver. Family, Cost of Living and accessibility to the same type of outdoorsy lifestyle. The way I look at it is this, there is nothing that you can have in Denver that you can't have in Greenville and the most important asset is that your family is nearby. I made the decision, and some would say sacrifice, to remain based in SC so that I could stay close to my ailing mom. She passed away Aug 8 of last year and I can not tell you how much comfort there is in knowing that I was there for her when she needed me most. You never get a second chance to go back and do the important stuff right.... don't miss the chance, especially when you have the CHOICE available without sacrificing. Good luck and God bless.....

All of you make some great points and I am leaning toward Greenville at this point but want to come down and spend a week or so getting to know the area better before I make a final decision. The current job market will play a big role in what town I pick. I know there is plenty of work in Denver for me, but the cost of living is quite a bit higher also. I'm going to test the market around Greenville and see what kind of responses I get.
