Anderson or Spartanburg
I am thinking of relocating to Anderson or Spartanburg. Any good areas near Anderson Mall or West Gate Mall? Relocation would be for my job, not choice. Just wondering about neighborhoods or apartments that would be close by to either mall access.

ANYTHING would be helpful. Anything at all. Safe neighborhoods, good apartments...ANYTHING! I need help because I have never been to these places and know absolutely nothing about them. And it's hard to believe everything they post on the internet.

Have you found apartments in Anderson? Here are a few: Anderson Apartments for Rent - Find Anderson, SC Apartment Rentals"
These will all be within a 10-15 min. drive of Anderson Mall. I'm not really sure how safe or unsafe one apt. complex is vs. another. You will probably have to go see for yourself to see where you'll feel comfortable. There are also Benson St. apartments in downtown Anderson.
I don't know anything about Spartanburg, but I'm sure you can google some apartments within close proximity to the mall.

Yes I've been googling apartments but it's not helpful because I don't know the areas. I was kind of looking for something a little closer than 15 min. I only get an hour for lunch and right now I am only 2 min away from my work and I would like to be about 5 min or less from where ever I will be working. I just got a puppy and she needs to be walked a lot, so I need to be closer so I have time to get lunch and walk her around. It probably sounds kind of funny but if she doesn't get walked she will tear EVERYTHING up and that is the last thing I need. I guess I will just have to waste some gas driving up to Anderson whenever I can get a weekend off, which is rare, lol.

This one looks like it's going to be the closest, but I haven't seen it so not sure what it looks like Apartments in Anderson, SC - Country Club. It says its 1 min. away and within walking distance.

I live at Timbercreek near WestGate (<5 mins drive) in Spartanburg and I've been happy here. Rent is good, the complex is well maintained, staff is helpful, and the neighborhood itself is safe - I've walked my dogs at night alone with no concerns other than visibility to traffic.
For a 1 bedroom, 1 year lease, you'd be looking at rent of about $550. My place was newly painted when I moved in and is pretty spacious: 750 sq. ft. They even accept 2 pets/apt.
The only downside I've run into is that the free internet can be sluggish at times.
