Question Moving to Anderson

My husband and I relocating from upstate New York to Anderson in the next few months and I have a couple of questions. I have heard that district 5 is the best district but our realtor seems to think that the Wren district is better any opinions? Also my husband may have to commute from Anderson to Greenville can anyone tell me how long it takes to get from Anderson to Greenville? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know much about the schools because my kids are grown. From downtown Anderson it is about 35 min to downtown Greenville. I'm originally from Albany area Welcome to Anderson when you come! If there is anything else I can help you with (other than schools) you can private message me.

alpmove,
Glad to see someone on here from Camden. I lived there as a teenager and loved it! You will love the Upstate, especially the lower humidity!

margiem3,
As far as I know both school districts have a very good reputation. Go to GreatSchools.net to help you in making an informed decision.

both do have good reputations. district 5 has been the best for a while and wren is up and coming or now is just as good as district 5. a lot of people are moving over there b/c it's less developed and b/c the schools are so good.

anderson is a great place. commuting to gville everyday would not be my cup of tea but there are a ton of people on here that do it everyday and think it's fine. it's really not that far from exits 21 and 27, about 35 min. at most, like karoga said.

if you have any other questions, just ask us!

good luck!

District 5 is hands down the best school district. Your realtor is trying to steer you toward some of the new subdivisions in the Wren area. It takes 25 to 30 minutes to commute to Greenville on I-85. Traffic isn't too bad. Good luck on your move and welcome to town

Smile Riverside Middle School in Pendleton voted best in State

Hi...my kids are still little, my oldest attends Pendleton Elementary...a great school! I am excited for her to attend Riverside as it was voted best in state last year!! We're selling and building, thankfully in the same area so she doesn't have to switch schools.

Look into Pendleton...a wonderful little town and close to Clemson, Anderson, Greenville. We're selling our home just off of HWY 88 and 123, goes straight into Greenville!!

Good luck!

yay! riverside is great! i went to pendleton elementary, riverside middle, pendleton junior high (when it was in the rotation), and pendleton high - loved it!! i think it gets overshadowed by hanna, but i think it's just as great.
