Simposnville is wonderful! I have lived here for 14 years and would not move away. Clean, friendly, booming economy!
Email me if you need any additional information or if you have questions!

Simpsonville is over-priced - U pay for the realtor hype. Look at surrounding areas for better value. Don't trust anything the realtors tell you, the south carolina home market is very tricky - take ur time and look around a lot. Make sure you have a buyers broker. Fountain Inn is very pretty

Its very nice
My wife and two young kids just relocated in Simpsonville, SC. We like it but it does cost more then living in south Alabama. My wife is looking for a job. We are renting a nice 3 bedroom 3 bath home in a great neighborhood. Everyone is very nice. It feels homey to us, lots of things for kids to do. We are looking at preschools for our two kids and we are finding its NOT cheap. Please feel free to email me tfolmar@boydbros.com if you want more information. Be glad to help. Thanks, Trey

It depends on what you are looking for. If you want a beautiful fast growing, safe community, Simpsonville is it. I'm actually a native. I live in Fountain Inn now in a rural area. It's nice here too if you want a "Mayberry" kind of town. It's like comparing apples to oranges. But, Simpsonville is around the corner.
Don't know what you mean Glen about "realtor hype". If you've seen the market in other states, we have it good here. You can get a fair price for housing in Simpsonville still, but things are "a changin". The market will bust at the seams in a few years if not sooner. [ moderator CUT] I wish I owned some of Simpsonville. Good luck Campo. go to
www.southcarolina.com to research all our areas in the Golden Strip
It's a GREAT place to be!!!!!

Hi Judy, saw on here you are a realtor and I have a question. Considering a move maybe to the Simpsonville/Fountain Inn area. Only problem is my budget is about $150,000 max and I really want a modest ranch with a garage on at least a half acre but preferably an acre. I've been looking on line and a lot of these neighborhoods (subdivisions?) have the neighbor right on top of you just like here in Jersey. That's what I'm trying to get away from! ha ha Actually, I'm trying to get away from the horrible high price of everything here but my husband and I really want some elbow room. It would be nice to have a little privacy. Anyhoo, what do you think? Is it still doable in that area?

Just a thought - I wonder how many of the people on these boards who are encouraging people to move to various areas are realtors. I know that some are not, and those seem to be more honest, but I get the sense that the realtors don't tell anyone about the bad points to be considered in relocation.

southernnative, there are definitely realtors that prey on people here. I see some on the Florida and Georgia boards - but I haven't seen any on the SC board. You can identify them, though, they'll eventually say, "Give me and the so-and-so company a call at 555-5555!"
Of course, that's after they tell you how great the area is.
