What’s the big deal if you have to travel some place else to do your shopping? If a particular area doesn’t have what you need, go someplace that does.

I'm not saying that either one of those places have what you want, I was just pointing out that Haywood Mall isn't the only place to shop and you can find other stores that fit your needs if you look/ask around.
That's great if you have no problems traveling to shop, but not all of us can spend the extra gas money to do so. I drive a cherokee...if I drive to Atlanta and back I would probably have to get gas at least twice, and that would be well over $100.

This is off topic, but why is that everyone's response to everything? Why can't people just realize that others may have different opinions then others and just accept it?

Ok lets think really hard here. Why would an option ever be to drive 2 hours to go shopping, when almost everything can be found in Greenville. I dont intend to come across as being mean, but with gas prices at $3.70 it really is not make a whole lot of sense, however it is a free country so you are intitled to your opinion, who knows one could make a weekend shopping trip out of it.

I am sorry, almost everything cannot be found in Greenville. If someone's particular tastes do not fall into the Ralph Lauren, Lily Pulitzer knockoffs, JCrew, or other types of traditional southern "preppy" clothing which Haywood Mall specializes in, selection is limited. I understand and yes, before I get slammed by people telling me to "go back to the north" that I live in the south.
This whole "mall" thing is ridiculous. Why can't people in Greenville accept that Haywood Mall is not the Mecca of shopping?
I personally shop in other cities...Charlotte, Atlanta, and try to shop everywhere I travel for business, because Greenville does not carry the majority of clothing lines I care for. As an example, the Belk in Charlotte's Southport Mall receives the majority of the BCBG MaxAzria line, where the Belk and Dillards in Greenville receive limited pieces and sizes. I can continue to name the designers which Greenville's Haywood Mall does not carry and will not carry...so if someone chooses to drive two hours to shop I agree...the Greenville market does not support high end shopping.

I dont want to argue because I am not thrilled with the haywood malls size considering the size of metro Greenville, however; if you cant find it at the mall, there are plenty of other places around Greenville to find what you are looking for. I also shop when I go on vacation and business, but we were talking about making a seperate trip, just for shopping, sorry but Atlanta and Charlotte are just to far for most just to buy a pair of pants. I would rather shop online.

It is SouthPark, not SouthPort. I think Greenville has enough for a city its size. You should see the Asheville Mall if you think Haywood is bad.

Haywood Mall bad? ROFL. That's funny. I think it's the best looking mall in the state myself at least on the inside.

Asheville Mall shouldn't be as good as Haywood Mall, considering the fact that Asheville is a much smaller metro than Greenville.
