Default visiting greenville with dog

I apologize for this double post- I meant it for greenville forum and not south carolina forum- I will learn
I will be visiting the area in a couple of weeks and am looking for suggestions for a nice safe hotel to stay- I will have my small dog with me.
Also any places to visit to get a feel for the area that are dog friendly
Thanks in advance- sorry for the double post

Holiday Inn Express off the intersection of Pelham Rd & I-85 is very nice and is dog-friendly. La Quinta is always a chain that can be counted on to be dog-friendly. I'll caution you on the La Quinta at Woodruff Road. It is an older property and is a bit rough around the edges. However, it IS inexpensive. There's a newer, nicer La Quinta at Haywood & I-385.

Falls Park and Cleveland Park are both good places to take your dog. They are both in the downtown area. I see people walking up and down Main Street all the time with dogs. There is a really neat doggie boutique on N. Main that you have to check out. Darn, I can't remember the name. Several of the downtown restaurants with outdoor seating allow dogs at the tables. I know that Overlook Grill and Smoke On The Water both do.

Enjoy your visit! Greenville is a great town!

sleep inn is dog friendly. I have a small dauchshund and always just smuggle her in the hotel room. Its not a big deal and no one cares even if they see the dog

Another vote for the Drury Inn at Woodruff and I-85. We stayed there with our dog when we were house hunting last year, and there was no pet fee or deposit.

Sorry I'm late on this thread, but many of my clients with dogs have stayed at the Residence Inn on Milestone Way (off Pelham). They're dog friendly as well.
