Default Single mom/professional moving to Taylors or Greer, SC area

Greetings to all of you that take the time out to reply to these requests. I am a single mom to one child looking to relocate to the Greer or Taylors area. I see that the school systems are a bit more challenging than the Simpsonville one and so I have focused my efforts on the two towns mentioned. I am wondering what your thoughts are about these two towns and what is there to do for someone who is in their 40's in terms of entertainment. I have been to Greenville three times and I can see some culture starting to blossom and have heard many good things about this area..I am quite excited. I also see that there is a "Cafe Mundo" which sounds really neat. Open to suggestions. I am a positive person who loves people in general from all backgrounds..so please refrain from any cruel language about race, single mom status, etc. I have connected with some Catholics there so that part is taken care of.... Thanks!

Sorry I can't speak more about entertainment available for 40-somethings. I can say however that my parish (St. Mary Magdalene) has doubled (if not more) in size since we moved here 6 years ago.

Default meeting people

A friend of mine went to a website called meetup.com and joined some groups. She goes out to dinner with groups, networks etc. She is approx. 50 and single. She seems to enjoy it and has not had any bad experiences. I am not endorsing it, just passing the word along.
