Default new to area...places to see

I've only been here a couple months and have some family coming to visit for 4 days at thanksgiving. Still not being real familiar with what's around, where are some must see places, things to do if you've never been here and only have a few days...? Thanks.

I just answered a similar post, but I'll repeat it here- a drive along Hwy 11 is great, as long as the weather is clear. It runs right along the base of the Blue Ridge, and there are numerous parks along there for hiking and sight seeing. It's my favorite part of the whole area! There's also a lot to see and do downtown. I don't think they're doing factory tours (or are they?) but there is a BMW museum at the BMW plant. Others will chime in with lists of things to see and do.

If there will be kids the Greenville Zoo is a fun place to spend an hour or two. The park there is INCREDIBLE! The kids love it

Also, you could drive the 60 miles to Asheville and go to the Biltmore Estate ~ that would be a great day trip
