The Braves left because Greenville county voted to not build them a new stadium not because of the fans.
No, they left because the Braves were snobby and didn't want to pay for any of the new stadium. The Drive paid for the new stadium and the city paid for improvements around it. I work for the G-Drive so I should know. Besides, the new ballpark is a lot nicer looking. Where else can you find a green monster besides Boston and here? You wouldn't find that a Braves ballpark. That's for sure. If the Braves were still here, a new ballpark would of looked just like any other ballpark. Having a Red Sox affiliate here though let us build a mini-Fenway and it has gotten great reviews from almost everyone. The reason the Drive are successful is because we care about the fans more than anything else practically. If they're not happy, we're not happy. We don't think we've reached our full potential in fan base and operations yet. We want more.

thats not what I was saying, I was saying that they had been here for 21 years, so if they didn't have fans I would begin to wonder what they were still doing here.
i'm sure in the braves first few years attendance was not what it could have been, maybe if the rhinos had stuck it out a little longer or attempted to figure out a better marketing plan things might have worked out better, thats what I was trying to say
Either way the G'ville braves has nothing to do with the fact the arena football team failed years ago. The people of Greenville has never really taken to indoor sports look at the hockey and basketball teams. Every sport that has been inside the bilo center has failed. Maybe it will be different this time but only time will tell.

That's because of bad management and high ticket prices.

The fact of the matter is that Greenville has been doing a great job with marketing the Drive and I think maybe a few years ago Greenville was a different city, I was not here to speak for that but people mention it all the time.
Hopefully now is a good time to start thinking about other sports teams,i'm not really into baseball although I do enjoy visiting the drive stadium now and again.
I will be a season ticket holder if we have an indoor football team, its action packed and a great family activity because its usually inexpensive and you can get so close to the action(yes I know I sound like a commercial).
Being a former northerner I guess I'm just used to indoor sports, I would have come out to watch hockey or basketball if they had been around when I moved down here.
Can you tell i'm excited about this? i've been looking for arena football down here for months, I really hope they can get this off the ground.
I'd personally love to have hockey back in town. That is one of the very best sports to watch in person, in my opinion. Loved the Grrrowl when they were here, but their prices were ridiculous.

Agree 100%. I went to at least 15-20 home games every year. I miss hockey. The good news is that the football team will play in the spring so there is still a good chance seeing hockey come back in the fall-winter.
awesome good luck to ya! hope to see you on the field!
