Smile Job opportunities for electrian greenville area

My husband and I are getting ready to move to the Greenville/Spartanburg area within the next year. He is an electrian from Rochester, NY. He was in the electrial union for 15 years and recently left the union due to lack of work the last couple years. He is worried about finding work and what the wages are down there. We know the cost of living is less than in NY but we have heard so many different stories it makes our head spin sometimes. Is it difficult to find work and does anyone know of electrical companies with good reputations in the area?

I know your husbands feelings!! I am a single father with two kids and we are looking towards Greenville also. I am also an electrician and trying to find the same information! I will post one also and maybe we can help eachother with information!!! Here in Florida I hear nothing but great things!! But the pay is horrible here for the cost of living and I can't imagine it is worse then here.

Thanks for the post. Up here in upstate NY the taxes are outragous. My sister in law just bought a house with little to no yard, 3 bedroom 1300 sq ft and the taxes are $5000! I think I'd rather pay more to get my car registered in SC and pay lower property taxes. My husband did get a job offer in NC with great pay but Raleigh is too crowded for our taste so we are sticking with Greenville area. Good luck to you and I'll look for more posts
