Default South Carolina gets an "F" from American Lung Association regarding smoking

To me this isn't a conservative or liberal issue, it's a health issue. We're the lowest of all 50 states in cigarette tax as well, thankfully governor Sanford is about to change that.

South Carolina, along with NC and VA, are the very center of tobacco production (and use, evidently), so It's gonna take a while to change folks. I've never smoked, and I keep working on those around me who do. I've seen it take too many lives.

Just thought I'd mention that SC is not alone, Alabama.. Kentucky.. Missouri..North Carolina..Virginia & West Virginia all made a grade of F in that department.
