Post Dorman Academic Team Tournament this weekend

This weekend, at Dorman High School in Roebuck (Spartanburg), one of the largest academic team tournaments in the nation will be held.

There will be 105 teams, JV and Varsity, from around the state of SC, and from seven other states. This tournament has been held for almost twenty years, and Mr. Eric Huff at Dorman has brought many good teams in from around the South.

From our area, Berea, Blue Ridge, Boiling Springs, Byrnes, Chapman, Christ Church, Crescent, Daniel, Eastside, Greenville, Greer, Hillcrest, Oakbrook Prep, Riverside, Southside Christian, Southside (one of the best 25 teams in the nation), St. Joseph's, T.L. Hanna, and Walhalla will all be here.

Please go to Dorman Saturday and support your local academic teams.

Chattahoochee, from the Atlanta area, won the Dorman Academic Challenge for the second year in a row yesterday, over teams from seven different states.

James Island was the highest finisher in the state, finishing third in the tournament.
