This is awesome! Wouldn't be too far from me at all. Beats going to Woodruff Rd. to see a movie.

'bout time. We've gotta be the most under served movie theater market in the entire nation. We need one here in Greertucky off of Wade Hampton as well.

Cause it's Greer with a mix of Kentucky.

Thanks! I'd heard this but it was confusing. Never been to Kentucky, so I'm still a little clueless.

Naw, that's just me taking a fun little jab at my town. "kentucky" is often a term used to describe some backwards area that lacks all of the modern conveniences. I live off of 14, north of Wade Hampton, so I kiddingly call the area of WH and north Greertucky. That being said, it's getting really busy and we are so underserved it's pathetic. No Old Navy, No Ross or Marshalls or TJMaxx, no Pier One, no Chilis or Fridays, no Barnes and Noble or Whole Foods. I don't get it, the area is booming, but we have nothing. When Copper River opened up they were packed, and still are. Fuddruckers too and the Target does good business. Every chain that comes up here does well. I just don't get it?

I wish I had an extra $100 million in my back pocket. I'd buy that old run down shopping center near Lowes with the Tractor Supply in it and the adjoining properties and build a nice Greenridge type place here, but more "town centery", i.e less big parking lots. Call it, "The Landing at Greer Mills" and have it in done in a nice Mill style motif and architecture with a man made lake and my own movie theater called American Family Cinema (AFC). This is my inspiration: Victoria Gardens - One Destination. Countless Experiences. We could definitely support it.

Yeah, I've given this some thought. Oh to dream.

You guys will be getting Kohl's and Petco soon if the county council gives that development the ok. Also, when the economy improves, that Highway 14/I-85 development will solve your shopping problems.
