so how is the weather out there? We want to move out there from Illinois I just hate these winters but it looks as we are going to have to wait till the economy gets better before we sell our home.
I moved from Northern Michigan in Dec. and I tell ya, winter here (so far) is like late winter/early spring in Traverse City. From what I understand, they do get ice storms now and then though.
I haven't worn a jacket the last couple of days when I went out. I like that!
great I can handle a ice storm but I really hate 35 below zero that we get here. I have lupus and rhumatoid arthritis and I am only 33 so the winters are brutal on my body the comlete winter months I feel like I am 90 instead of 33 because of the cold so hope that we can get out there next year...
I hear you....Boston weather is awful except for maybe about 5 months a year. If it is not bitter cold, then it is a gray day....YUCK!!! I would love to be living where a "cold day" is 45 degrees!!
yesterday - driving home from work: 70 degrees (according to the car temp gauge), no jacket on at all, and sunroof fully open - beautiful weather the past few days

I did see one day where it got down in the 20's, but it didn't last.
here in Ridott illinois today and today only we are supposed to get to 62 degrees we are breaking a record but then snow and cold again for this weekend so I am going to enjoy the one day sheri
I moved here from the Chicago area a little over a year ago and can tell you that the weather here is WAY better. When it does get cold, though, it sometimes seems colder to me than when I was in Illinois. I think it's because it's a more damp cold, if you know what I mean. It was hard to take the first winter, but I've adjusted and doing much better this one.
I don't know if you have allergies, but that's something to consider. There are a LOT of blooming trees, bushes and flowers here, and allergies can be of concern for some people. But, in my opinion, it's worth taking a few allergy pills to live in such a beautiful part of the country.
