Default Home Quality in Seneca/area

I have a question for those of you that may live in this area, or with
family or friends that live here...I know the soil is red clay...Homes
built on clay soils have foundation problems...I know this because my
home here in Nj is and I have had settling and cracking of sheet rock,
nothing serious but a real annoyance...Do these homes in this part of
SC have these problems?...Are there certain subdivisions in the area I
should avoid if I relocate?...Thanks...
