Default Simpsonville VS Mauldin

Hey all! I was really sold on the Mauldin area, but with the posts I have been reading, I am not so sure anymore? The schools in Mauldin seem great, all 10's and 9's (on greatschools.net) and the subdivision we were interested in really had all the amenities we are looking for in a good price range. I guess I want to know why a lot/most of the people relocating prefer Simpsonville, like "what am I missing"? Any info/advice is appreciated. Thanks!

Default My vote is Simpsonville

I love Simpsonville. . . Heritage Park where they held the Little League World Series - Fairview Rd & Woodruff Rd - new schools. I to had to decide between Mauldin and Simpsonville. We initally rented in Mauldin and after viewing Simpsonville that is where we had decicded upon. But they both are very nice!

Hi All- looking for some insight on Beck Academy. We like the houses in Asheton Lakes, but after I saw the rating for Beck Academy (2 on greatschools.net) I can not see sending my kids there based on that. I am hoping someone can tell me why in science the test scores are so low. This school only scored in the 37% overall. The high school that Beck feeds into, JL Mann, has a good rating with positive feedback about the school from parents on the website. Based on experience, what are the best middle and high schools in the Simpsonville/Mauldin area? We are looking to relocate in a couple of months. Thanks in advance for your help!
