Good thing I get my electricity from underground lines. Haven't had my power flicker once. My cable is back now. Not sure what the probem was.

How many inches now?
I'm traveling for work in Southern CA, but have a house in Greenville. I've been following the thread to see what's happening back there.

Just found out TCTC is closed tomorrow. No school. Woot woot. I don't have to make up the day either.
This just came in from NWA:
...several inches of snow in a short period of time over parts of the western carolinas...
A band of very heavy snow has developed from the south side of greenville county across spartanburg county...cherokee county...cleveland county...lincoln county...catawba county and iredell county. Snowfall rates of 2 to 3 inches an hour are falling under this band. Frequent lightning was also occurring with the band of heavy snow. The snow will continue for at least 2 to 3 hours...with snowfall totals along this band likely to range from 5 to 8 inches during this time.
Snow of this intensity will cause roads to become impassable. The visibility will fall to near zero at times. The heavy wet snow will also weigh down numerous trees and cause widespread power outages and block several roads. Only travel in an emergency.
Snow will still be heavy eastward across the charlotte...concord and kannapolis areas with totals of 1 to 2 inches an hour in the heavier snow bursts. Several inches of snow is likely in this area as well.

Great pics. I plan to take some tomorrow morning. Figured out where the snow cutoff was-
Walhalla in Oconee County-0 inches
Clemson University-4 inches
Southern Anderson County-7 inches
Snow was melting here earlier but now it is below freezing and everything that was melting has turned to ice. Unfortunately, i'm hearing more limbs start to fall from this.

We are underground too but it is still possible g-man to go out; just not as likely. Keeping fingers crossed!
