The inside of the old space has been gutted and construction is proceeding for Apple. I believe opening is in June.

Crates spotted outside the location by reader José Cerritelli bear Apple's name, as well as that of Kikukawa, maker of stainless steel panels used in Apple Retail Stores. Similar crates can be found at other stores under construction.

Apple held their first job interviews for potential workers today at 4pm at the Marriott off of Pelham Road. Don't ask how I know this.

No I wasn't one of those employees and no i'm not getting a job at the Apple Store. I didn't fill out a resume to work there. Maybe in the future I will.

Final job interviews for people who made it past the first round were held today.

They spray painted black paint on where it says 'Apple' on every single wooden crate in the parking lot to cover it up.

Does anybody know when this is opening? I was there a little over a week ago and peeked through the cracks in the door and it didn't look like they had made much progress. I was hoping they would be open in time for the launch of the next iPhone but that's obviously not going to happen.

Sometime in July or August. Most likely mid-late July. The store is really starting to take shape now. The ceiling lights are almost completely finished and the side walls/genius bar are starting to go in.

You can always drive to Augusta until the Greenville store opens. I'm sure Apple will do very good when they open at Haywood Mall.
