So you're certain July 10th is the day they will open in Haywood Mall? And what part of the Mall is this cause I went this last weekend and I didn't see the big black divider with the Mac Logo on it anywhere in the Mall?

It's scheduled to open July 10th. Of course this could change depending on when the construction crew finishes and worker training is complete. The Apple logo was installed on the barricade yesterday. The store location is on the lower-level directly next to Abercrombie & Fitch near Sears and the food court as you can see from the last picture in my previous post.

Part of the Apple Store barricade where the plastic is on the roof has been taken down and you can see the entrance and partially inside. The Apple logo, glass, and steel have been installed. It is exactly like the Tacoma store with a small area of steel going around the exterior along with hanging Apple logo and glass doors/windows. There is nice tile on the indoor part of the store on the floor from what I could see. Tables have also been installed. Pics to come.

LMAO! Looking for and spotting a table leg in the under construction Apple store seems akin to looking for and seeing a nipple when you're 13 years old.

Speaking from experience? These pics were just to show that the store is almost completely finished. Nothing more.

Thanks for the pics, g-man! I hate going to the mall so you saved me the trip.

I could envision 100 or more people camped out in front of the store to get the latest gadget. Then, the elderly mall walkers get annoyed by the tents, the smell of cannabis, etc. and then a huge brawl breaking out over who has rights to the imitation marble flooring.

So this place is supposed to open next Saturday, and they haven't announced it yet?

I found this information on the ifoapplestore.com website.

"Haywood Mall - Greenville, SC - This city's Apple store was originally planned for the 1.2 million s.f. Haywood Mall, but there was no appropriate space. So in August 2007 Apple switched to 670,000 s.f. Magnolia Park Town Center that was being created after the former mall was demolished along I-85. It would have been the second-largest mall in the state, with construction to start in late 2008 or early 2009, with Apple penciled in for a 5,100 s.f. space for Phase I at 550 S. Main St. But the economic slow-down halted demolition of Magnolia Park, and in March 2009 Apple store switched back to Haywood Mall, just 2 miles away from Magnolia Park, and signed a lease. Confirmed in the former Childrens Place and Hair Place spaces on the lower level, facing onto two separate hallways. Job listings posted Jan. 12, 2010. Grand opening July 10th. [delay story] [mall plan-pdf] [store location] [Feb. 3 update] [Feb. 8th photos #1 / #2] [April 21 photo] [June 28 photo]"

The only thing they haven't done at the Haywood Mall store (unless it was done over the weekend) is cover the black barricade with the Red velvet curtain paper. I know it is done for many of the locations, but it seems that it is done a few weeks before opening, not this close. This opening date has not been officially announced by Apple. According to this website, that is often done the Tuesday or Wednesday before the weekend opening.
