They only put up the red curtain thing on new flagship stores. Don't expect that with this one. Like I said, the store was scheduled to open July 10th. Any delay with construction or training of new workers will change that.

I came online to see if the official announcement was out today. I had come to the conclusion last night that the official announcements were usually made on the Tuesday before the grand opening. As awesome as it would be to enter an Apple store in my own local mall, I think I may have to stay away on Saturday. It will be a madhouse!!
I was thinking the red curtains might be for flagship stores only, especially since they seemed to be up several weeks before the stores opened. Red curtains or not, after several years of waiting, we finally have our store her.

I received the official e-mail announcement from Apple today. The first 1000 visitors receive a free t-shirt. Also, I read in this months Greenville Magazine that our Apple store is twice the size of the one in Charleston and is bigger than many of the 284 stores located nationwide. This is huge for our area.
