Default Home Rental needed in Anderson, SC area

Anyone out there able to direct me towards a home rental possibility in Anderson, SC area? Spouse relocated to area - job is in Lavonia, GA. We are looking for something between Lavonia, Ga and Anderson, SC - a town my husband has fallen in love with. We need reasonable price, as we have a mortgage in Mo (last job) until the economy improves and we can maybe sell it. We are both 57, quiet, neat.

a lot of houses are on craigslist - nice houses that can't be sold and the owners want to rent them. in anderson, there are the new luxury watermarke condos that are really nice if you'd like a condo. they are brand new, on the lake, and rent for $950 for a 2 bed/ 2 bath on the bottom floor.

finally, you go to a local mls listing, like exitupstate.com or Welcome To AAPRealty.com and make the max what you'd like your max rent to be or in some cases as low as the website will let you go, like $25,000. listed rentals will come up like that as well.

good luck!

This may be too late to tell about, but try going to Andersonindependentmail.com, then click on classifieds and then put in Anderson, sc, and make sure you click on the rental tab and it will bring up all the towns in Anderson County and scroll through until you get to the homes... I think I have this right. This is our newspaper for Anderson, SC. There is also another source but it is a HIT and Miss--- the reason I say this, the ads are not always taken out when the home is rented already.
They are slow to take them out. -- here it is: Iwanna.com- also this paper does not give telephone numbers online so you would have to register. When you go there, click on the Greenville tab- under it says Anderson-Pickens-Surrounding area, then click on the Castles and Coves(this means homes). You will understand where to go from there.
