Default Greenville Airport

Hi, looking to relocated to Simpsonville. I was wondering if anyone the flight paths to the airport go over Simpsonville? If so, is it bothersome? And, is it in takeoff or landing flight paths. Any info. would be great. Thanks!!!!

You will be OK in Simpsonville. Just a few turns, higher altitude over Simpsonville. I fly weekly, and almost 99% of the paths are either over Greer or over Mauldin, Woodruff Road, Pelham Road.

The runway orients SW/NE. Simpsonville is SE.

I live in Mauldin and the planes are still pretty far up in the air at this area. We do however have military traffic coming into Donaldson which is almost in my backyard. While not bothersome, it can sometimes be pretty loud.

I used to live 6 blocks from the New Orleans airport; I know what airplane noise is!

I live near the intersection of Pelham and I-85. We are close to the flight path (as we were also at Thornblade Park Apts.), but I hardly notice the noise.

You can also go to the airport website and check flights in/out. I think you will find it is not an overly busy airport.

I rarely hear some planes, but they are not bothersome, and I bet they are probably going to Donaldson Center, which is much closer to Simpsonville than the others.

The planes that fly into Donaldson are much louder than commercial jets. It is quite amazing to watch the military planes fly in over my back yard but again there are not a lot of them.

It is mostly quiet here after living in Chicago so much so that even a plane is not annoying.

I hear you, myrc60. I used to live 15 minutes from O'Hare International Airport. An occasional plane here doesn't even phase me. It's so nice to be able to have phone conversations when my windows are open and hear the birds chirping in my yard!
