OK, this one isn't exactly local, but it IS in the state.

This is a 360-degree view of the Battery and White Point Gardens in Charleston, taken in mid-May. If you look around, you can see the cannons, mortars and statuary of the Battery as well as part of "rainbow row",the Charles Pinckney National Historic Site, the USS Yorktown, part of the new bridge over the Cooper River, and even Ft. Sumter off in the distance. Enjoy!

Here's a view of Lake Jocassee taken this past Saturday from Jumping Off Rock. The leaves were better here this year than they were up on the Blue Ridge Parkway. . .

For those of you who haven't been to Sassafras mountain in Pickens County (the highest spot in SC), it's worth the drive.
