I'm looking to buy a used vehicle (my car is falling apart piece-by-piece right now), and I'm trying to take a pro-active approach to it.
I posted an ad on Craigslist.org, and in IWanna, but I'm not getting the results I'm looking for.
Is there a community board in Greenville somewhere, or any place you can suggest, that could be a good place to annouce/post something like this?

Thanks for any advice you may have!

What is your projected price range? I know someone who may be able to help, assuming he is able to locate a vehicle within your budget.

Well, here is what I posted on Craisglist.org:

"I'm looking for a small pickup truck, such as a Ranger, Tacoma, or S-10 as old as '94 but newer would be nice.
Miles under 120,000. AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION.
I'm on kind of a low budget, but I do have the cash. I need a reliable vehicle that I can use daily and will last me a long time.
If you have one, or know of someone who does, please e-mail me!
~Thanks!~ "

I have $2600, it would be possible to go as high as $3000 though, if absolutely necessary.
Of course, less would be fantastic, so I can still have money to register the thing and put gas it it!

Sorry to revive this thread... but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask!

Okay, so, I've changed tactics a bit. Do you guys know of any places where they have "For Sale By Owner" lots? There's one lot on Haywood Rd., and I've noticed there are quite a bit of trucks for sale here and there along Wade Hampton Rd. too.
I still haven't found anything. Now we're looking for a manual transmission pickup, lol.
Any suggestions on places to look for?
