4th of july in Greenville?
I know this is a bit early. I am planning a trip to Greenville area on the weekend of July the 4th. Was wondering if Greenville or surrounding areas have fireworks. Anderson or Spartanburg?. will it be hard to get a hotel for that weekend?

You can watch the fireworks show for free at the Greenville Drive stadium downtown (concession stands are open, too). I was there last year with my camera glued to my eye, LOL. The fireworks show didn't last long enough for me, though.
Also, if you're into that kind of thing, Redemption World Outreach Center puts on their own fireworks show, too, I believe.

RWOC for sure!!
Redemption World Outreach's fireworks show is phenominal! The best I have ever seen between Michigan and South Carolina. They are set off via computer and set to music. Plus there are rides, food, etc.

RWOC Fireworks Show
Sounds like a lot of fun! Then I definitely have to get over there to check it out this year.

Downtown for sure. That's where everybody goes and you can watch the show for free from Fluor Field.

Downtown is the place to be on the Fourth of July. Just allow for plenty of people (which means parking blocks away, battling heavy traffic, etc.).

I definitely recommend the Downtown Red White & Blue festivities and fireworks on the 4th of July. There are many extras, and the fireworks display is second to none in this state.
If you prefer a slower pace, Heritage Park in Simpsonville may host another nice event at the amphitheatre. Nothing has been scheduled for July according to the website though.
Of course, the economy will likely play a role in the number and size of most events this year, but last year was incredible all around, beautiful fireworks going up in literally every direction.

We watched the fireworks show from Falls Park. It was beautiful! Even better than the shows we used to go to in Illinois. Can't wait until the next time.
