Default Fishing

Ok, so we are finally getting around to getting our fishing license. We had a question does anyone know if you can fish from a state park and take the fish home>? Neighbors caught a ton on jocassee and we just are unsure on the rules. Thanks guys!

Try South Carolina Department of Natural Resources . I believe they will give you that information on this site. I hope this helps!

You can take home fish from all the upstate public lakes. As long as you have a South Carolina fishing license and you do not have more than the daily limits.

I know that it is recommended to not eat the fish out of Lake Hartwell. Does anyone know if there is a similiar recommendation for fish out of Lake Keowee? How about Lake Robinson?

I am assuming you are referring to the PCB's found in the upper ends of the lake because of the Sangamo Plant in 1970 something. This only applies to certain size fish of an older age....and this is only for a very small portion of the lake. majority of Lake hartwell is perfectly fine.

nothing wrong with Lake Keowee

Nothing wrong with Lake Jocasee.
