New water park in Duncan
Does anyone know when the pirate themed water park in Duncan is opening?

That's a county park if I remember...you should find info on their site www.gcrd.org.

Here are some pics of the park: Middle Tyger Connected (Half way down the page)
The $2.5 million park will use a pirate theme, complete with a replica shipwreck equipped with cannons that shoot water into the air.
Other features will include a lazy river, beach entry with spray for kids, two high-speed flume rides, and a deck for sunbathing and picnics.

Greenville County Recreation District is planning to open another park on the Northside of Greenville. Discovery Island in Simpsonville has been a smash hit for a few years now.

Yes, it has been but I think you will see a change this year as the prices have gone up to $10 for a full day's pass.

THanks for all the info. We went to the one in Simpsonville Sunday and it was really nice. Looking forward to the one in Duncan opening.
