Default Where is a nice place to swim

We just moved up and my daughter and her husband want to take a friend swimming and have no clue where they can do that here on a slim budget. I know there must be some public lakes or somewhere they can go nearby (within an hour). They want to go on Monday. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,
Denise

Swimming is available at most of the lakes in the area and many of them are about an hour away.

Paris Mtn State Park. I don't know the fee- we buy the $50 yearly park pass for any State Park. It's a deal.Paris Mtn has a swimming area with lifegaurd, hiking, live music on Sat and pedalboats- at least they used to.Have fun!

The daily park entrance fee is $2 per person, I don't know if there's a lower amount for children.
