Another unfullfilled child-less 20-something couple here. And yes I wholly admit that I'm selfish and really don't want to share my DH with any munchkins right now. Deal with it - thankfully my MIL has figured out that grandkids are not in the immediate future for now.
DH and I are both 24 and also looking for couples in our age range to befriend, so feel free to pm. We're in Spartanburg, just about to buy our first house, and happy with our furry four-leggeds for now; a kid is not expected for at least 6 more years.
It is truly difficult to find others in the same place in life - we don't party, I have a funky schedule that makes going out difficult (T-Sat with hours that range from 10am-9pm to 9am-5pm depending on the day lol), and we don't have hobbies that are uber-social (DH is into martial arts and home brewing, I'm into yoga and dog sports). What I wouldn't give to meet another 20s or 30s, relaxed couple that enjoys hiking, dinners out, or just a good game of Apples to Apples or similar lol.
Perhaps I need to create a yahoogroup or something where others like us could congregate!

It is great to witness people taking action when necessary to solve a problem! Kudos to you for doing something positive about the issue.

Agreed! We should have done this sooner. I pm'd you. We'd definitely be interested. (We got to play Apples for Apples a couple months ago, couldn't have had more fun.)

Never played Apples to Apples but it sounds intriguing... We have 2 dogs at home and honestly that is as close to kids as we want to be in our own house...
Because we are relatively new to the area, we're also big into Road Trips! We love to explore...
Our schedules are weird-ish, too... Unfortunately we work kind of opposite shifts... But we both typically put in 50-70 hour weeks so we try to plan our fun ahead of time - we usually only get 1 day off (and it's usually Saturday) each week so we like to make it count.
We love good conversation, karaoke (my husband also plays bass & drums so jam sessions are definitely a possibility), beach, travel, dining out, movies, wine, anything outdoors where the dogs can come along, dancing, laughing and generally being silly - just because we don't want kids doesn't mean we can't act like them... ;-)

New to the area
I know this post is a little older but my husband just found it and sent it to me.. we have recently moved to the area (2yrs in October), and we are what we like to call "Dinks" (double income no kids) we are young 30 something professionals with no kids (just our cats) and we are looking to meet couples with our same interests. We love the outdoors, playing cards, cooking out, dining out, we are pretty easy going. We both work full time and I just started back to night school so we don't have a lot of free time but we love to find out about local things that are going on and try and hit them when we can, we love Greer's Oktoberfest, love the wing festival, chili cookoffs, you name it.
It would be great to make some new friends that share similar interests!
