My 85 y/o father was on the WWII Veterans float in the Saturday 7/18 Gaffney Peach Festival Parade and I'd really like to have some pictures.

Very cool. Surely someone associated with the float has photos, or maybe the local VFW? I looked on the festival website but it seemed to be heavy on a running event, dancing and skateboarding!
