Jack In The Box
Why is it that Jack in the Box is not in Atlanta, Columbia or Augusta? They are all over Texas but in the south east other than Texas, Greenville is the only city that has them. Why is that?

Who cares? We don't live in Atlanta, Columbia or Augusta. We live in Greenville.

That reminds me. Why does Greenville have a Whole Foods Market and Charleston have a Saks Fifth Avenue when Charlotte has neither? The world may never know.

That was an extremely rude answer. I'd expect that from g-man, not you.
As to the op's question, it simply comes down to franchising. My wife and I moved here from LA 2 1/2 years ago and Jack in the Box is everywhere there. Apparently someone with a lot of money and knowledge of the company decided to put franchises here in the upstate. It's really that simple. My dad and I were gonna put an El Pollo Loco franchise here and even got the preliminary paperwork together but the president of franchising said they weren't interested in this market yet. Huge mistake and really short sighted on their part, but whatever.

Hey Sonrise, Papa Murphy's is looking for franchisees in this area. If you are looking to open a fast food type restaurant, you may want to try them.

In Columbia we never had trolleys going to the Drive (Capital City Bombers) game. I have never heard of trolleys in other cities for games either unless if it is major league. Why would they run a trolley to a Minor League game?
