You should enjoy Walhalla and the festival. The area is beautiful, with lots of rolling green hills and the blue ridge mountains as a back drop. While in town, pay a visit to a park at a beautiful waterfall (Issaqueena Falls) that the town of Walhalla maintains. It is just west on Main St. (Hwy 28) about 5 miles. The people in this area also tend to be very gracious and kind. Enjoy!

I make baby shower gifts and favors. A lot of people may not have heard of what I make, but it is mainly diaper cakes. I also do smaller favors, such as lollipops, candies, bunnies, butterflies and more made out of baby washcloths. It is a very specialized sort of thing directed at a specific group, that being pregnant women, but people are always having babies and most people know someone having a baby so I have done alright at the 2 shows I have done so far. This is only going to be my 4th show (I have one in September in Lexington), so I am still getting details smoothed out, eventually I will know exactly what I am doing every time as far as set up and display stuff, instead of frantically moving things around until they are 'just right' LOL! Anyway, sorry to rant. I do not know if I am allowed to post a link on here, but there is a link to my website on my profile here. Thanks!

Ya know, I was in Walmart the other day getting balloons for my grandsons birthday and they had diaper cakes as well as a wreath made out of diapers, which could be cute to put on a door hosting a baby shower.

Wow, they had diaper cakes at Wal Mart? Is this a Wal Mart I will be near when I am in Walhalla? I would love to see that! Yes, wreaths are great for hospital doors and baby shower doors, I make those too!

No, this was a Walmart in Oak Grove, KY. It is the only one I have ever been to that had quite a large selection of balloons and they even did floral arrangements, although I wasn't real impressed with what I saw.

Oh, LOL Yeah I don't think I will be there anytime soon! That's pretty neat they have a Wal-Mart that does that, too bad it wasn't so great. I remember when the Piggle Wiggly in Columbia had the best floral department, I wonder why that ever went away? I used to think it was the coolest thing ever when I was a kid!

I'm really disappointed in the floral dept. at Sam's Club. The club I used to belong to had a much larger one. :-(

I don't think I have ever noticed that Sam's had a floral dept, but I don't go there often. IMO Wal-Mart is going downhill, and changing in a bad way. They used to be so customer oriented, and strive to keep prices low, not wasting money if it wasn't needed. Now they are wasting money left and right on fancy displays, TV's all throughout the stores.. and their prices have gone up, while the customer service has gone WAY down. I am not talking about at store level either, I am talking about The home office, they could care less about the customer there. My Mom works for Wal-Mart so she sees firsthand the changes that go on there, which are unnecessary. I have pretty much found other places to get 99% of things I used to only go to Wal-Mart for, and I know I am not the only one. A huge thing with our Wal-Mart is that they got rid of their craft section, which I do not understand. Handmade items are becoming more and more popular, and Sumter doesn't have anywhere else to buy craft supplies, so Wal-Mart made a VERY stupid move in getting rid of their craft stuff. Anyway, sorry to ramble LOL!
