Question Good and bad areas of Anderson?

My husband and I are looking to relocate to the Anderson area. I would appreciate any info as to which areas of the city are best and which ones to steer clear of, if any. We really like the country feel of the area while still being able to have plenty of shopping nearby. Any info, good or bad would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If you want anderson county for the schools and a nice country feel I would suggest Easley (anderson side), piedmont, powdersville area. Shopping is within 10-15 minutes with the mall a bit further. We were told the tlhanna area of actual anderson was a desired area. Good Luck!Q

Thanks for the responses so far. We are actually considering a home on the southwest side of Anderson. If anyone has any general thoughts on that area, I would appreciate it.
