Default Services for the Developmentally Disabled in Simpsonville/Mauldin area?


I'm considering relocating from NYC to the Simpsonville/Mauldin area.

My son is 29 yrs old and developmentally disabled. He will need a day program for dev. disabled adults.

Does anyone know firsthand how the services are?

I don't really know the needs for your son. But you said he was 29yrs old... But there is a place here called the sunshine house.

I have a friend that does a program called home share. It is a program where you take a person that can not live on there own and they live with you...

But in any case I know the guy that lives with her goes too a place called the sunshine house.. I guess in a way it is kinda like a day care for adults???

But in any case im sure you can find many programs if that is the kind of thing you are looking for...
