You could try All Tech Auto Repair on Hwy. 123. The actual address is 3670 Calhoun Memorial Hwy. Greenville SC 29611. Greg is the owner and will be honest with you but as far as cheap, it depends on what is wrong with your vehicle, how much the parts are and how long it takes to fix it. The phone number is 864-295-1125.

Reason: add phone number
If you have a Japanese car, try Japanese Auto Specialists, off Woodruff Road, near Costco. They are honest, fair and seem to know what they are doing. Japanese Auto Specialists Inc. ........Welcome
I'd recommend Certified Automotive on Wade Hampton. The phone number is (864) 244-9525. I've taken my car there multiple times to check on issues I've been concerned about, and they've been honest enough to tell me that there is no work necessary, or that it can wait for X number of miles. When work is required, they have been fair in their pricing. The "cheap" factor will really depend on the book price of the job and the parts required.
As for a car salesman, I would recommend that you do research online first (look at brand-specific forums, TrueCar, AutoTrader, etc.) and get a price that you want to pay for the car, based on what others are paying in the area. Then email the internet sales departments of various dealers in the area. Indicate exactly what you are looking for, and that you will buy today if you can get the price that you want.
I know the thread is old but there is a good, cheap and reliable mechanic in Taylors/Greer off Wade Hampton. It's the place that says tires with blue and yellow painted tires out front. If you are driving from Taylors to Greer, it will be on your right. You bring the part and they put it on cheap. They did my husband's brakes on his pick up for $30. They were very quick as well.
