Hi,

I could be potentially moving to SC with Grainger's "follow the work program" and was wondering if anybody on this board either works there or knows somebody that works there. Perhaps another transplant.

What's the work environment like? Do you enjoy your job? Is the pay good? I currently work for another grainger DC in the warehouse and we haven't really been informed to any great extent as to what the follow the work program entails, but I would hope I could at least keep the salary I make now.

Our cost of living is much lower than DC I'm sure so if you keep the same salary you may be setting yourself up for a layoff later.

I don't know anyone that works there but I do see a Grainger car tooling around town sometimes.

DC means Distribution center, I live in Wisconsin. Work in a warehouse, so I don't make much more than 30,000

Oh, ok; I'm not sure where WI fits in our standard of living but I wouldn't expect there to be a big difference. FWIW many jobs around here pay around $10/hr some +/- a few but the payscale is very low here.
