Wow, good info from all of you! really impressed with your town spirit.
I am planning a trip soon to see all the above mentioned city's plus Charlotte.
I will only have a day and a half per city, not sure if that will be enough time but it will have to do.

Oh and Noodles, I was being rude, your correct. My apology.

We have one small Mall, and about 1000+ strip malls. Sprawl is rampant here and will continue.

???? One "small" mall?

At 1.4 million square feet, the largest in the state and one of the largest in the Southeast with five anchor stores, Haywood Mall is far from small. It is considered a regional mall.

Yes, if you ever go outside of Greenville, you will see that it is indeed a small mall compared to whats out there in the big world.

Seems to me, most people I've come across in Greenville are actually from all kinds of other places. Haywood isn't a small mall by anyone's standard. There are of course bigger ones - everyone knows that, but small it ain't.

You responded to the wrong guy with that comment.
Considering I travel the US and Caribbean with my job, and I'm in an industry that deals with retailers, I know malls. A small mall is anything under 500,000 sq. feet. An average mall is about 900,000 sq. feet. 1.4 Million sq feet like Haywood is considered a regional mall and is quite large. Maybe it is you who should travel outside Greenville more. Need some Skymiles? I can donate some of mine.

Holy crap, that is comparing apples to oranges. The malls in Charlotte are way better than Gville. Southpark is much more upscale, the new mall in Huntersville (forgot name) is much more progressive with its stores and Concord Mills just isnt in the same ballpark!
