Woodson Lake Estates, just off of I-85 (exit 39) in the Powdersville area is a nice neighborhood with a small lake. Families enjoy fishing and boating (very small watercraft as in row boats, paddle boats, or canoes), and there are lots of geese that inhabit the area every year. There is another development on the opposite side of the lake, The River Reserve, which is accessible via S.C. 153 (exit 40). The homes in that development are a little more expensive, but are very nice custom designs.

In the Powdersville-Wren community, Country Lakes Estates, off of Hattie Road, is a very nice neighborhood. You may also wish to check out Kensington (S.C. 81, just west of "downtown" Powdersville).

In Greer, there are nice developments being built around Lake Robinson, although I cannot recall whether or not any fast boats are admitted. Lake Cunningham is another nice lake in Greer that may have decent developments.

If I think of others (I know there are many of them around the area), I will be sure to post them for you.

I don't recall any development names, but I know there are nice homes on Saluda Lake, just northwest of the City of Greenville (S.C. 183, just west of U.S. 25).

Part of the River Reserve in Powdersville is on a small lake too. Very expensive and nice homes though. Carisbrooke on the eastside of Greenville with homes ranging over $300,000 has a nice lake in the center. Only boats that are allowed are canoes and paddleboats. There is also a nice dock on one end for fishing.

Robinson and Cunningham only allow up to 15hp. Lymon allows up to 90hp. Of the three, Robinson is the prettiest, trendiest, and most expensive.

Default small lake subdivisions

I noticed you were inquiring about any small lake subdivisions in Easley. I live in one of the subdivisions someone mentioned--"Woodson Lake" in Powdersville, right off hwy85, exit 39. We are planning on put our house on the market in the next few months if interested, just email us.. It is 3 bedrooms, plus a bonus, 2.5 baths, brick with attatched 2 car garage and a seperate oversized 2 car garage with a huge room above it. The lake is app. 18 acres, they allow small fishing boats but nothing with a motor. The lake is kept stocked for fishing(Brim and Bass).

Can you swim in any of these lakes? Especially interested in Lake Robinson.

From what I heard there is no swimming in Lake Robinson or Lake Cunningham as they are reservoirs for the local towns.
